Illinois FCCL 3 Hour Renewal COURSE

The 3 hour renewal course for the Illinois Firearms Concealed Carry License is approximately 3 - 4 hours in length depending on class size and the depth of discussion during the Q & A section of the course.

Course consists of approximately 1.5 - 2 hour review of the Illinois FCCA (Firearms Concealed Carry Act) as well as a condensed lecture on self defense and the law found in the 16 hour FCCL course. Self Defense and the law lecture is based on Attorney Andrew Branca’s Law of Self Defense program of which I am a graduate of his instructor course. The course also consists of a live fire qualification on a B-27 silhouette target with 30 shots total, (10 shots at the following distances: 5 Yards, 7 Yards, 10 Yards) the student must score at least 70% (21) or better hits in the target area to qualify.

Being a graduate of Attorney Andrew Branca’s Law of Self Defense Instructor program allows Vanguard Personal Defense the opportunity to knowledgeabley inform attendees on the subject of self defense and the law.  This seminar is not legal advice but simply gives the attendees a greater understanding of the law as it pertains to use of force and a practical way to apply and retain the information and knowledge.

Students will need the following:

FOID card & FCCL (Concealed carry license )

Drivers license or ID card.

Eye & Ear protection.

Concealable handgun

30 rounds of ammo to qualify & any ammo you wish to practice with.

Notebook & note taking materials.
