Basic Pistol Class

Cost: $50.00

Eligibility:

Persons must be 21 years old and possess a valid Illinois FOID Card or out of state drivers license.

The Training:

This course will cover the basics of handgun education and shooting. We will discuss everything from basic safety rules, differences between pistols and revolvers and include the different types of pistols and revolvers (ie single action, double action, striker fired etc.), How to operate these individual firearms, and basic fundamentals of shooting. Other topics of discussion will include ammunition education and firearm upgrades.

Registration:

Tuition is $50.00 for this 3 hour course. Class size will be limited to 10 students to give each student more attention and better answer individual questions. The $50.00 course cost will include all classroom instruction and all range time. Handgun rentals are available for additional fees. Equipment:

You will need the following items for this course: 1. A defensive Caliber handgun. 2. 50 Rounds of target ammunition. 3. At least two usable magazines for your firearm. 4. A usable holster that fits your firearm. 5. Eye and Ear protection, also available for purchase at the store. 

Instructor:

This course is taught by Accuracy Firearms Staff. Primary instructor for this Course is Kurt Davis. Kurt is a Master Firearms Instructor certified by the Police Training Institute, and also a state licensed firearms instructor. Kurt has over 16 years experience in law enforcement and 5 years experience in SWAT.
